Typically 5-7 weeks attending lessons 5 days a week for 10 minutes a day. The short, consistent lessons are scientifically designed to match infant attention spans and maximize muscle memory retention.
Safety is our #1 priority. Our instructors undergo 8 weeks of intensive in-water training and must complete annual recertification. We maintain strict protocols for water temperature, lesson duration, and child wellbeing throughout every session.
We start lessons as early as 6 months old, once your baby can sit up unassisted. This is the ideal time to begin building water safety skills as infants are naturally comfortable in water and can develop muscle memory quickly.
Yes, ISR focuses on survival skills first—teaching children to roll onto their back and float to safety. Traditional lessons often focus on stroke development. ISR prioritizes life-saving skills that work even when a child is fully clothed.
Children should wear a snug-fitting swimsuit without any flotation devices. For infants, swim diapers are required. We recommend bringing a towel and a change of clothes for after the lesson.
Some crying is normal as children learn new skills. Our instructors are trained in behavioral psychology and know how to work through this phase safely. Most children adapt within the first few lessons and begin to enjoy the water.
Ensure your child is well-rested and has eaten a light meal about an hour before the lesson. Bring a swim diaper if needed, two towels, and arrive a few minutes early. We'll handle the rest!
